What is MS Adhesive Sealant?

MERZ MS Adhesive Sealant is a moisture-curing, one-component product that functions as both a structural adhesive and a flexible joint sealant. Based on silyl-modified polymer (SMP) chemistry, it combines the flexibility and weathering resistance of silicone with the bonding strength of polyurethane.
Unlike a standard MS sealant (used primarily for joint sealing), the MS Adhesive Sealant is formulated with higher initial grab and greater bond strength, making it suitable for bonding application in construction.

MS Adhesive Sealant is used wherever a joint needs to be both bonded and sealed, including:

  • Metal and tile roofing, all metal lap joint waterproofing and sealing
  • Sealing and gluing various materials
  • Joints in plastic, metal or concrete
  • Floor joints
  • Weatherproofing caravans and trucks
  • It is useful where joints have to be painted or where silicone sealants are not suitable
  • For dilatation joints in construction, on outer walls, in green-houses or for sealing window frames.
  • Bonding splashbacks and mirrors
