Product Overview

Polyurethane Waterproofing Coating is a single-component, moisture-curing, polyurethane-based waterproofing membrane designed for exposed and non-exposed applications. Supplied ready to use, it is liquid-applied and cures to form a seamless, elastic and durable waterproofing film.

The membrane exhibits excellent adhesion to a wide range of suitably primed substrates and delivers high resistance to UV exposure, weathering, mechanical stress and chemical attack. Its crack-bridging capability allows it to accommodate substrate movement while maintaining long-term waterproofing performance.

Once cured, the coating forms a continuous membrane that is unaffected by standing water and remains flexible across varying climatic conditions.

What is a single-component polyurethane waterproofing coating?

It is a liquid-applied, moisture-curing polyurethane membrane supplied ready to use. Once applied, it cures to form a seamless, flexible and durable waterproofing layer.

Is this coating suitable for exposed applications?

Yes. This polyurethane waterproofing coating is UV resistant and designed for exposed areas such as roofs, terraces, balconies and gutters where long-term weather resistance is required.

Is a primer required before application?

Yes, applying a compatible PU or epoxy primer ensures better bonding, especially on absorbent surfaces like concrete or wood. Recoat times should be followed as per the primer’s TDS.

How long does it take to dry and cure?

Walkable (dry to touch): 8–12 hours
Recoat time: 8–12 hours (don’t exceed 24 hours between coats)
Full cure: After 7 days, depending on conditions

Can 1 part PU waterproofing handle ponding water?

Yes, once fully cured, 1 Part PU is resistant to standing water and is designed to bridge cracks and prevent water ingress on flat or sloped surfaces.

Can it bridge cracks and accommodate movement?

Yes. The cured membrane remains elastic and has excellent crack-bridging properties, allowing it to accommodate normal substrate movement without losing waterproofing performance.

Is it suitable for pedestrian traffic?

It is appropriate for light pedestrian use. For higher traffic or abrasion resistance, a topcoat or ou PU Transparent is recommended.

Can the membrane be applied over existing waterproofing systems?

The coating can be applied over certain existing membranes such as bitumen, PVC or EPDM, provided compatibility has been confirmed and the surface is correctly prepared and primed.
