Acrylic Elastomeric Waterproof Coating

Single component, acrylic based high flexible elastomeric waterproof coating which upon curing forms a tough, flexible and durable coating which is resistant to UV and other weathering agents like sunlight, frost, rainfall etc. Elastomeric waterproof coating is also used to protect exposed concrete structures against carbonation and chloride ion diffusion.

Fields of application

Used as waterproofing and protective coating for the following structures:

• Most types of roofs, such as flat & sloped concrete roofs, metal roof, asbestos roof, etc.
• Can be used to protect exposed reinforced concrete from carbonation & chloride attack
• Anti carbonation coating in car park decks
• As a protective membrane for Polyurethane foam installation
• Protective coating on underpasses & concrete bridge decks
• Protective coating on polyurethane foam insulation
• Top coat for various concrete floors, walls and cement plasters & renders.
• Protective coating on concrete bridge decks.

Characteristics

• Single component, easy to apply.
• Protects exposed concrete structures against carbonation and ingress of atmospheric gases and salts.
• Excellent UV resistance and color retention
• Excellent resistance to water borne salts.
• Elastomeric- high crack bridging capability.
• Excellent adhesion to most of the substrates.
• Good resistance to dilute acids, alcohol, hydrocarbons, chloride and sulphate ions.
